Rincón de la Victoria is a municipality in the La Axarquía comarca, in the province of Málaga, and part of the Málaga metropolitan area. It is a Costa del Sol resort known for its sea caves and beaches. Being so close to Málaga, it has become a commuter town while keeping some of its fishing-village character.
The municipality runs along the Mediterranean coast and up into the foothills of the Montes de Málaga. It has four centres: Rincón de la Victoria, La Cala del Moral and Torre de Benagalbón on the coast, and Benagalbón inland. Once known as Bezmiliana, it is called simply el Rincón by locals.
