Pla de Mallorca, the plain of Mallorca, takes in the municipalities in the middle of the island.

Get to know Pla de Mallorca

Pla de Mallorca is a comarca in the centre of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, and its name means plain of Mallorca. It borders the Raiguer to the west, Palma to the southwest, the Migjorn to the south and the Levante to the east, reaching the Mediterranean in the northeast. Like the other Balearic comarcas, it is recognised only in geography.

Santa Margalida is its most populous municipality, Algaida the largest and Petra the traditional capital. Muro, Porreres, Sinéu, Sencelles and Vilafranca de Bonany also belong to it. Since 1982 most of its municipalities, all except Muro and Santa Margalida, have shared public services through a joint association.
