Get to know Puerta Bonita

Puerta Bonita is administrative neighborhood number 115 of Madrid, one of seven in the Carabanchel district in the southwest of the city. It borders the Avenida de los Poblados and Buenavista to the south, Vista Alegre to the northwest, Opañel to the northeast and Abrantes to the east.

The Quinta de Vistalegre, a former royal site owned mainly by the regional administration, covers much of the neighborhood. Its name comes from an old iron gate of the estate, which was accidentally destroyed in 1982.
