Get to know Hoya de Huesca

Hoya de Huesca is a comarca in Aragon whose capital, Huesca, is also its largest municipality. Most of it lies in the province of Huesca, though Murillo de Gállego and Santa Eulalia de Gállego belong to the province of Zaragoza. Farming and cattle raising drive the local economy, and metalworking is the main industry.

It covers the central Somontano, between the Sotón and Alcanadre rivers and the Gratal and Guara mountains, with the Isuela, Flumen and Guatizalema rivers flowing across it. Besides Huesca, its municipalities include Almudévar, Ayerbe, Gurrea de Gállego, La Sotonera, Tierz, Igriés and Siétamo.
