Get to know Yecla

Yecla is a town at the far northeastern tip of the Region of Murcia and the capital of the Altiplano comarca, which it shares with Jumilla. To the east it borders the province of Alicante, and to the north the province of Albacete. The town is widely known for furniture making and for its designation of origin wine.

Within the municipality lies the hamlet of Raspai, also called El Carxe, where people speak Valencian. It also takes in settlements that are now empty, such as Carrascalejo, Pinillos and Quitapellejos.
