Vilanova de Arousa is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in the comarca of O Salnés. It opens onto the Arousa estuary and is joined by a bridge to the island of A Illa de Arousa.

The writer Ramón María del Valle-Inclán was born here, and his birthplace is now a house-museum. The municipality lies in the Rías Baixas designation of origin, in the Val do Salnés subzone that produces Albariño. Vilanova de Arousa, Caleiro, Deiro, Baión, Tremoedo and András make it up.
