Get to know Vilalba

Vilalba is a municipality in the province of Lugo and the capital of the Terra Chá comarca, in Galicia. It lies on the left bank of the river Ladra, one of the headstreams of the Miño. It is a medium-sized town with a quiet life and a sizeable industrial estate.

Its symbol is La Pravia, a white maple at the meeting of Rúa da Pravia and Rúa de Galicia. The Torreón of the Counts of Andrade, now a parador, and the church of Santa María stand out too. The municipality includes Sancobad, Goiriz, Santaballa, Lanzós, Árbol, Román and Cuesta.
