Valldemossa is a village and municipality in the Serra de Tramuntana, on the island of Mallorca. It sits in a mountain valley 413 metres above sea level, about 17 km northwest of Palma. It borders Esporles and Palma to the south, Banyalbufar to the west, Deià to the north and Bunyola to the east.

Its one famous landmark is the Royal Charterhouse, built at the beginning of the 14th century, when the mystic and philosopher Ramon Llull lived in this part of Mallorca. Since the 19th century the village has been promoted as a place of outstanding beauty, largely thanks to the Austrian Archduke Ludwig Salvator. Catalina Thomas, patron saint of Mallorca, was born here.
