Get to know Valladolid

Valladolid is the capital of its province and the de facto capital of Castile and León, and its largest municipality. It served as the capital of the Hispanic Monarchy between 1601 and 1606. In 2019 UNESCO named it a City of Film.

Parquesol, Huerta del Rey, La Victoria, Delicias - Canterac, Delicias - Arco de Ladrillo, Las Villas - Valparaíso, Polígono San Cristóbal and Soto de Medinilla are among its neighbourhoods. The city sits at the confluence of the Pisuerga and the Esgueva, in the middle of the northern Meseta, surrounded by wine country. Holy Week and the Valladolid International Film Festival, Seminci, are its best-known events.
