Malvarrosa is a working-class neighborhood of the city of Valencia, in the Poblados Marítimos district. It takes its name from the rose mallow plant that once grew in the area, and its beach, also called Malvarrosa, is one of the most visited spots in the city.
The beach has fine sand, holds the Blue Flag and has a wide promenade along the sea. The neighborhood is bounded to the north by the Séquia de Vera, which separates it from Alboraia, and to the south by Cabanyal along Avenida dels Tarongers, where a tram line runs.
