La Seu is a neighbourhood in the Ciutat Vella district, in the centre of the city of Valencia, capital of the Valencian Community. It takes its name from Valencia Cathedral, which stands in the middle of the neighbourhood.
Its central square is Plaça de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, the political and spiritual centre of the city and of the former Kingdom of Valencia, long known as the Plaza de la Seu. It borders Morvedre and Trinidad to the north, La Xerea to the east, San Francisco and El Mercado to the south and El Carmen to the west.
