Ubrique is a municipality in the Sierra de Cádiz comarca, in the province of Cádiz, and the most important town in the Sierra. Leather is its main industry, and the town is known as the cradle of Andalusian leather goods. Its historic quarter is protected as a site of cultural interest.
The town lies where the Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornocales natural parks meet, 337 metres above sea level. It is part of the route of the pueblos blancos, the white towns that recall the area's Arab past, and the river Ubrique runs through it.
