Get to know Tui

Tui is the capital of the Baixo Miño comarca, in the south of the province of Pontevedra, Galicia. It stands on the right bank of the Miño, which forms the border with Portugal, opposite the Portuguese town of Valença. Its cathedral of Santa María is one of the best known in Galicia, and the town was capital of the old province of Tui until 1833.

Two bridges link Tui and Valença, the historic International Bridge and the A-55 motorway bridge, and since 2012 the pair have formed a eurocity. The municipality is made up of parishes including Tui, Randufe, Guillarei, Rebordáns, Pazos de Reis, Ribadelouro, Caldelas and Areas.
