Tolox is a municipality in the province of Málaga, in the Sierra de las Nieves comarca. It had 2468 inhabitants in 2025. It lies in the centre of the Sierra de las Nieves National Park, at the foot of the Sierra Blanca and the Sierra Parda.

La Torrecilla, at 1919 m, stands out among its peaks, with ancient woodlands of Spanish fir and gall oak. A forest track gives access to the Sierra de las Nieves and forks towards Istán and Ronda. The Rio Grande flows through the town.
