Get to know Teverga

Teberga is a municipality in the autonomous community of the Principality of Asturias. Its neighbours are Belmonte de Miranda, Grado, Yernes y Tameza and Proaza to the north, León province to the south, Somiedo to the west and Quirós and Proaza to the east. It was once a mining area and now lives from agriculture and tourism.

The Sobia peak, with vertical limestone walls, stands out in the landscape, and so does the Camín Real del Puerto de la Mesa. Plaza, Santianes, Villanueva, Riello, Páramo, Alesga, Taja and Villamayor are among its villages. In 2013 it won the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award.
