Get to know Tarancón

Tarancón is a municipality in the west of the province of Cuenca, in Castilla-La Mancha, lying in the Alcarria close to La Mancha. After Cuenca itself, it is the most populous municipality in the province and the seat of a judicial district. Its land borders the province of Toledo.

Two main roads cross here: the A-3, linking central Spain with the Levante, and the A-40 between Cuenca and Ocaña. Neighbouring municipalities are Belinchón, Huelves, Tribaldos, Villarrubio, Fuente de Pedro Naharro and Santa Cruz de la Zarza.
