Somiedo (Somiedu in Asturian) is a municipality of Asturias, in northern Spain. It has 1031 inhabitants (INE 2025) and is the second least densely populated municipality in Asturias. All of it forms part of Somiedo Natural Park, a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
It borders Belmonte de Miranda to the north, Teverga to the east, Tineo and Cangas del Narcea to the west and the province of León to the south. It is made up of Pola de Somiedo, Éndriga, Valle de Lago, Gúa, Pigüeña, Villar de Vildas, La Riera and El Puerto. The Saliencia lakes are in Somiedo.
