Sencelles is a municipality in central Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, 24 km from Palma. It belongs to the Pla de Mallorca comarca and borders Santa Eugènia, Consell, Binissalem, Inca, Costitx, Lloret de Vistalegre and Algaida.
Besides Sencelles, the municipal capital, it includes the villages of Biniali, Ruberts, Jornets and Cas Caná, and the abandoned settlement of Son Arrosa. They are small places where the rural, traditional architecture of Mallorca can still be seen, and they lived from winegrowing until a plague in the late nineteenth century emptied them.
