Sarria is a municipality in the province of Lugo, in Galicia, and the head of the Sarria comarca. It is the most popular starting point for the last 100 km of the French Way of the Camino de Santiago. King Alfonso IX of León died here in 1230 while on pilgrimage to Santiago.

Its landmarks include the tower of the fortress of the Marquises of Sarria and the monastery of La Magdalena, built in the thirteenth century. The municipality also has many Romanesque churches. It is made up of Chorente, Vilar de Sarria, Barbadelo, Vega, Fontao and Corvelle.
