Get to know Sant Lluís

Sant Lluís sits on the south-eastern tip of Menorca in the Balearic Islands, on the Mediterranean shore. It borders Mahón and Es Castell. The town was founded by the French in 1761 during their occupation of the island and is dominated by Es Moli de Dalt, a restored windmill that is now a museum.

The coast has fine sand beaches, cliffs and coves such as Binissafúller, Biniancolla and Binibeca, with their typical whitewashed fishermen's houses. Medieval defensive towers line the shoreline. Besides Sant Lluís, the municipality includes s'Algar, Punta Prima and Alcaufar.
