Fares is a hamlet in the municipality of Sant Ferriol, in the Garrotxa county, Girona province, Catalonia. It lies on the Pla de Fares, a flat, largely alluvial area on the right bank of the Fluvià river.
The hamlet is a small nucleus surrounded by farmhouses, such as Can Badia, Can Costa, Can Figueres, Can Roset and Mas Capell. The church of Santa Maria de Fares stands apart, to the north-west of the nucleus, and the C-66 road runs through the village. It had 30 residents in 2025.
