San Vicente del Raspeig is a municipality in the Alacantí comarca, in the province of Alicante, on the northwest side of the Alicante conurbation. Part of the University of Alicante lies here, so the town has a large student population. It was founded with the motto sequet però sanet, dry but healthy.
Alicante and San Vicente form one continuous built-up area, linked by commuter trains, the tram and bus routes. The town holds two big festivals each year, the Fogueres de Sant Vicent bonfires in July and Moros i Cristians in late April.
