Get to know San Fulgencio

San Fulgencio lies in the south of the province of Alicante, in the comarca of La Vega Baja del Segura, near Rojales. It is south of Elche and not far from Orihuela, the comarca capital, or from Alicante-Elche airport. The town has grown faster than any other in the southern Valencian comarcas, and many of its residents are of foreign origin, with English widely spoken.

Close as it is to the sea, it has no coastline of its own: the shore belongs to neighbouring Elche and Guardamar del Segura. Irrigated farming was the traditional mainstay, and since the turn of the century tourism and services have taken over.
