San Fernando is a town in the Bahía de Cádiz comarca, in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. Until 1813 it was called Villa de la Real Isla de León, and people still call it La Isla. Locals are known as Isleños or Cañaíllas.
Most of the town sits on the low-lying Isla de León, where only the hills of Cerro de los Mártires and Cerro de Torre Alta stand out. The Sancti Petri channel separates it from Puerto Real and Chiclana, while the Arillo river divides it from Cádiz. The small islet of Sancti Petri also belongs to San Fernando.
