Saldaña is a town and municipality in the province of Palencia, in the autonomous community of Castile and León. It sits on the banks of the Carrión river and is the centre of the Vega-Valdavia comarca. Its Roman past shows in the remains of a villa attributed to the emperor Theodosius I.

The medieval counts of Saldaña figure in local history and literature. The old stone-surfaced Plaza Vieja lies in the centre of town. A popular open-air market fills the central plaza each Tuesday.
