Get to know Rojales

Rojales is a municipality in the Vega Baja del Segura comarca, in the province of Alicante. The Segura crosses its old centre on its final stretch before the Mediterranean, under an eighteenth-century stone bridge that is still in use. Tourism now leads the local economy, and its residential estates are home to many people from other European countries, mostly English and German.

Most residents live in Ciudad Quesada, and Las Heredades is another settlement. The town has several museums, including the archaeology and palaeontology museum, the Museo de la Huerta and the EcoMuseo, as well as a theatre and the Cuevas del Rodeo quarter, restored as a home for crafts. La Marquesa golf course is one of the oldest in the province.
