Riogordo is a municipality in the province of Málaga, in Andalusia, in the comarca of Axarquía. It sits among low mountains, between the Montes de Málaga and the higher sierras, and is almost a classic Andalusian white village.
Its best-known heights are the Tajo de Gomer, the sierrecilla del Rey, the cerro de Sacristía and the loma del Terral. The río de la Cueva and the streams of la Golilla, Morena and Solanas cross its territory. Every Good Friday and Holy Saturday the town stages the Passion known as El Paso, with a cast of hundreds of local villagers.
