Puerto Lumbreras is a municipality in the Region of Murcia, in the comarca of Alto Guadalentín. It sits at the southwestern end of the region, next to the province of Almería. Services drive the local economy, especially hospitality, pottery and traditional crafts.

The town lies on the banks of the rambla Nogalte, a seasonal watercourse. It is a stop on the E-15 route linking Catalonia and Valencia with Andalusia. There is also a state-run parador hotel.
