Pontevedra is a comarca in the Galician province of the same name, centred on the city of Pontevedra. It takes in the land around the provincial capital except Marín, which moved to O Morrazo at its residents' request. It borders Caldas to the north, Vigo to the south, Tabeirós-Terra de Montes and O Carballiño to the east and O Salnés to the west.

The comarca covers the lower valley of the Lérez River and the steep hills around it, which reach the province of Ourense at La Lama. The sea touches it only at Poyo, Vilaboa and Pontevedra's short shoreline. Its municipalities are Pontevedra, Poyo, Vilaboa, Ponte Caldelas, Barro, La Lama and Campo Lameiro.
