Get to know Pollença

Pollença is a town and municipality in the north of Mallorca, at the northern tip of the Serra de Tramuntana and on the Mediterranean. It borders Escorca, Campanet, Sa Pobla and Alcúdia. The poet Costa i Llobera was born here, Winston Churchill rested here, Agatha Christie found inspiration and Peter Ustinov spent his summers.

The old town lies inland, west of its port, Port de Pollença, which has a long seafront promenade and wide beaches. In town stand the Calvari and the so-called Roman Bridge over the Torrent de Sant Jordi. Cala Sant Vicenç gathers coves of crystal-clear water beneath the Cavall Bernat ridge.
