Banyoles is the capital and home to over half of its people. Porqueres, Cornellà del Terri, Fontcuberta, Serinyà, Vilademuls, Camós and Palol de Revardit complete it. Farming dominates, with long-standing industries in textiles, furniture, leather, iron and copper.
