Pedrezuela is a town in the north of the Community of Madrid, 42 kilometres from Madrid. Its Gothic parish church of San Miguel dates from the sixteenth century, and the town keeps its charter of settlement from 1331. Local festivities take place on 29 September in honour of St Michael the Archangel.
The municipality includes the Montenebro estate, across the Guadalix river gorge, and Atalaya Real, which looks down from a hill onto the Pedrezuela reservoir. Around the town stand casitos, round stone huts with adobe and straw roofs, along with rural paths and the Mesto dam. Local restaurants serve roast kid among other dishes.
