Ordes is a municipality in the province of A Coruña, in Galicia, and gives its name to its comarca. It lies in the basin of the Tambre river and borders Oroso, Tordoia, Cerceda, Carral, Abegondo, Mesía and Frades.
A third of the population lives in the capital, the town of Santa María de Órdenes. The N-550, the AP-9 and the railway between A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela all cross the municipality. Much of its land is bog and eucalyptus plantations.
