O Barco de Valdeorras is a municipality in the province of Ourense, in Galicia, and the capital of the comarca of Valdeorras. It lies in the Sil valley, below the Serra do Eixo, in the north-east of the province.

Mining, slate processing and wine from the Valdeorras Designation of Origin are among its economic foundations. Remains of Roman and pre-Roman culture and several stately manor houses are its most important monuments. The municipality includes villages such as El Barco, Viloira, La Puebla, Entoma, Villanueva, Santigoso, El Castro and Jagoaza.
