Get to know Negreira

Negreira is a municipality in the province of A Coruña, in Galicia. It is the main administrative and economic centre of the comarca of A Barcala and lies about twenty kilometres from Santiago de Compostela. The Tambre River runs through it and shapes much of its landscape.

It is part of the Way of Fisterra and Muxía and a crossroads between Santiago and the Costa da Morte. Its heritage includes the Pazo do Cotón and the Pazo da Albariña, surrounded by gardens. The municipality is made up of Negreira, San Eleuterio de Logrosa, Aro, Santa María de Portor, San Tomé de Alvite, Broño, San Esteban de Landeira and San Martiño de Liñaio.
