Get to know Mutxamel

Mutxamel, Muchamiel in Spanish, is a town in the Alacantí comarca of the province of Alicante. It lies in the north of the metropolitan area and forms one continuous urban area with Alicante, San Vicente del Raspeig, Sant Joan d'Alacant and El Campello.

Besides the town centre, it takes in areas such as Boqueres, Tossal Redó, el Boter, Baiona Alta, El Collao, Cotoveta and L'Almaina. The inland part rises to the Savinar and the Bec de l'Àguila, while the lower land follows the Sec river, also called the Montnegre.
