Monda is a municipality in the province of Málaga, in the comarca of Sierra de las Nieves. It stands 427 metres above sea level, near Sierra Blanca and Sierra de las Nieves itself. Its castle rises on the foundations of Al-Mundat, an Arab fortress, and is now a hotel.

The heart of the village is Plaza de la Ermita. The Lavadero de la Jaula, from the 16th century, is a fountain and covered public laundry that once drew people together. The Monda mill still presses local olive oil.
