Get to know Mojácar

Mojácar is a municipality in the southeast of the province of Almería, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It is an elevated mountain village in the traditional white of its earlier days, 90 km from Almería. Since 2013 it has been part of the network Los pueblos más bonitos de España.

It borders Garrucha, Vera, Turre and Carboneras, and the river Aguas reaches the sea within its boundaries. Besides the village of Mojácar, it includes Mojácar Playa, Ventanicas-El Cantal and Venta de los Ángeles-Rumina. Mojácar Playa is the tourist resort on the coast, south of the town.
