Get to know Miranda de Ebro

Miranda de Ebro is a city and municipality in the north-east of the province of Burgos, Castile and León. Alfonso VI granted it a charter, and Alfonso XIII later gave it the title of city. The arrival of the railway in 1862 turned it into an industrial city, with chemicals, logistics and aeronautics.

The city spreads across both banks of the Ebro near its confluence with the Bayas, on the northern side of the Obarenes Mountains. The Pancorbo Pass links it with the central plateau, and the AP-1 and AP-68 motorways and the Madrid-Hendaye and Tudela-Bilbao rail lines run through it. Bilbao, Burgos, Logroño and Vitoria-Gasteiz are all within easy reach.
