Meco is a municipality in the east of the Community of Madrid, north of the River Henares, in La Campiña del Henares. The land around it is vast grain fields and gentle hills. The town is part of the Henares Industrial Corridor and provides residences for the University of Alcalá.

Alcalá de Henares lies to the south and Camarma de Esteruelas to the west. On the east side Meco borders Azuqueca de Henares and Villanueva de la Torre, in Guadalajara. The Royal Cattle Track of Galiana and the last section of the Henares Canal both reach the town.
