Get to know Manilva

Manilva is a coastal municipality in the Costa del Sol Occidental comarca, province of Málaga, Andalusia, at the southwestern edge of the province where it meets Cádiz. It lies on the Mediterranean, about 82 km by road from Málaga, and borders Casares. Its landscape is made of low hills cut by streams and valleys, with the limestone hollow of Canuto de la Utrera behind the town.

There are three main settlements: Manilva itself, about 2 km inland, the seaside town of San Luis de Sabinillas, and the fishing quarter of El Castillo de la Duquesa further west. Developments such as Puerto de la Duquesa have grown around them. The whole area is overlooked by the Pico de los Reales, 1,452 metres high.
