Monte Dorado is a neighbourhood of the Ciudad Jardín district of Málaga that grew up in the 1970s through self-building. For a long time its homes had no legal status, and legalisation only began in the twenty-first century.

It borders Cortijo Bazán to the north, Camino del Colmenar to the east, Santa Amalia to the south and Mangas Verdes to the west. A project plans the Parque del Fiestero, with an auditorium for verdiales built into a hillside.
