Get to know Centro

Centro, also known as Málaga Centro, is one of the districts of the city of Málaga, Andalusia. It lies in the middle of the city, between the Mediterranean Sea and the hills of Málaga, and covers 5.87 km².

Most of the city's notable monuments stand here, among them the cathedral, the Roman theatre, the Alcazaba, the town hall and the Customs Palace. The Phoenicians founded the ancient city of Malaka around Gibralfaro hill, and remains of the Phoenician and Nasrid city walls survive.
