The Port of Málaga is an international seaport in the bay of Málaga, on the Costa del Sol. It is the oldest continuously operated port in Spain and one of the oldest in the Mediterranean. Its activities include cruise shipping, containerised goods, vehicles and a small fishing fleet.
Since 1998 it has been remodelled under the Plan Especial del Puerto. It now has a palm grove, a shopping and dining area, the Centre Pompidou Málaga museum and a cruise terminal that welcomes some of the largest cruise ships in the world. A luxury skyscraper hotel is planned on the Dique de Levante.
