Get to know Los Guindos

Los Guindos, also called Selene, is a coastal neighborhood in the Carretera de Cádiz district of Málaga. It borders Santa Paula and San Carlos to the north, the La Térmica industrial estate and the Almudena neighborhood to the south, the Los Guindos industrial estate and Puerta Blanca to the west, and the sea to the east.

The residential complex was built between 1979 and 1982 on the site of the former iron works of the Compañía Minero Metalúrgica Los Guindos, of which only the factory chimney still stands. The provincial civic centre is in the neighborhood.
