La Luz is a neighbourhood in the Carretera de Cádiz district of the city of Málaga. It is one of the most densely populated areas of the city, and its layout is irregular, with no grid and roads that cross.
Together with El Pilar in Madrid and El Raval in Barcelona, it is one of the areas in Europe with the most people per square metre. It borders Nuevo San Andrés 2 and Barceló to the north, Vistafranca and Ardira to the east, La Paz and Los Girasoles to the south, and Guadaljaire to the west. One of the two entrances of La Luz-La Paz metro station lies within it, and it has a public primary school.
