Get to know Jardín de la Abadía

Jardín de la Abadía is a neighborhood in the Carretera de Cádiz district of Málaga. It borders La Princesa to the northwest, Parque Ayala to the northeast, Huelin to the southwest and the sea to the southeast, and its administrative limits cover most of the Parque de Huelin.

The residential complex between Ayala, Cómico Riquelme, Órfila and Maestro Chapí streets dates from the 1960s and is one of the last built in the autarky style, preserved in its original state. Its three-storey blocks form a U, and inside the block there are single-storey houses with front gardens. The Plaza Jardín de la Abadía, once known as the plaza de las cadenas, was recently remodelled.
