Estrella is an administrative neighbourhood of Madrid in the Retiro district. It lies in the north of the district and borders Pacífico, Niño Jesús, Adelfas, Ibiza, Media Legua and Fontarrón.
It takes its name from the La Estrella insurance company, which owned the land and oversaw the building work, begun in 1957. Many of its streets are named after stars, such as the Plaza de los Astros and Calle de la Estrella Polar.
