Get to know Ciudad Lineal
Ciudad Lineal is one of the 21 districts of the city of Madrid, in Spain. Its name comes from the linear city plan of the planner Arturo Soria, from 1886: a long city along a communication axis with a tram line.
Only one section of that plan was built, and today the district is part of Madrid's urban area. Its neighbourhoods are Ventas, Pueblo Nuevo, Quintana, Concepción, San Pascual, San Juan Bautista, Colina, Atalaya and Costillares.
