Get to know El Viso

El Viso is a neighbourhood of the Chamartín district, in the northeast of Madrid. It grew from a planned colony of two-storey detached houses, designed in the thirties by the architect Rafael Bergamín.

It is an example of Madrid's rationalist architecture, and many of its houses were home to intellectuals of the period. Today it is one of the wealthiest neighbourhoods in Spain and hosts the main headquarters of the CSIC.
